The What, The Where & How of Powder Coating:

Powder coating is a durable baked on alternative to liquid painting. Chances are you have many powder coated items in your home and may not even realize it. Most refrigerators, microwaves, computer cases, washers, dryers, stoves, patio furniture, even your automobile wheels or motorcycle wheels may be powder coated. The important thing to note about a factory coating, such as the ones mentioned above, is that most work is done in massive batches that are run on a conveyor system and are poorly prepped before coating and then sprayed by robots, this is when quantity versus quality could ruin the true unique capabilities of powder coating.
At EastCoast PowderCoat each piece is prepared by cleaning, media blasting, removing rust, oils and mill scale, paint or factory powder coatings to bring your pieces back to a bare metal state before coating. Regardless if your items are new metal fabrications or metal restorations we clean and prep the items before they are coated. Each piece is handled by an individual every step of the way from media blasting to the actual coating process. Masking and plugging is always a part of the process to protect areas that should not be coated.
EastCoast PowderCoat is equipped with 2 walk-in ovens, the largest one is 21' long. EastCoast PowderCoat coats metal parts as large as car frames, airplane chassis, handrails to nuts & bolts. If its metal and can fit into our ovens and be hung, chances are we can coat it. Fill work is available for minor metal imperfections. Want a candy over your chrome or a gloss clear over your polished aluminum? We can do it, some exclusions apply.
